• Go to Settings.....then General < .Accessibility and scroll down to get to the AssistiveTouch option and turn it on, Now you are good to go  !                                     A small icon-like circle appears in the i phones which can give you for options when touched. One of the four options contain "simulating the home button".                                             SO, whenever you have to use your home b utton and your home button does not works, then you can just touch that AssistiveTouch function to simulate your home button.                         

• This tweak is only useful for the jail broken devices. Once the device if jail broken and CYDIA  is installed, there are numerous applications and options available to a user. One of the useful application that can be installed for free from CYDIA is " ACTIVATOR"(However it's not compatible with the recent version of IOS  5.1) . Once you get the activator installed by searching from CYDIA, you can easily access this application called "ACTIVATOR" . If you cannot find its icon automatically built in the screen, then go to Settings and scroll down to look for the Activator.                       Then you can use activator to do a number of things including simulating home button. Press Activatorusers have other options too) < Simulate home button...                                     Now whenever you have to use your home button and it bothers you by sticking, then just shake your device by shaking it.
